About Matt

I’m Matt Wagner.

I’m a mortgage recruiter, husband, dog dad, Pittsburgh sports fan, and a person always seeking spiritual growth.

I’ve spent much of my career helping loan officers and leaders figure out what comes next. I believe recruiting should be built on relationships, honesty, and actually giving a damn about the person on the other end of the conversation.

But work is only one part of who I am.

Community changed my life. Spirituality continues to change it. Meditation and a growing willingness to be honest have taught me more about leadership and being human than any business book ever has.

I’m still learning.

I still get caught up in fear, ego, comparison, and the need to control things. I still have days when I question whether I’m making a difference.

Big Heart is where I want to talk about all of it.

Mortgage and recruiting.

Leadership and growth.

The Universe and spirituality.

Sports, music, dogs, and life outside of work.

For years, I tried to keep these parts of myself separated. Big Heart is my attempt to stop doing that.

I don’t have all the answers. I’m not a guru, and I’m not trying to become one.

I’m just sharing what I’m learning, what I’m struggling with, and what has helped me along the way.
